Cricket is my religion, is a journey of an unknown cricketer “Mathi” a poor boy, and a die-hard fan of Indian Cricketers, chose the life of cricket as his meaning for existence. Learning cricket as a help to his landlords son, exhibits high quality talents. When his friend was ridiculed and dropped from the college team, he with the other friends of the Tiger team, managed to fake their entry into inter-collegiate cricket tournament to avenge their friends, insult. With the advice and help of Sherif Kaaka, a hotelier, they decided to compete at the district level. Mathi, ends up as a sensational player with his explosive batting and devastating bowling. But the young daughter of his landlord falls in love to the astonishment of her father who vows to finish Mathi. Kaka, picks him up from where the society had disowned him.
