Criminal Justice in Action is designed to provide readers with a central resource containing a broad and diverse assortment of scholarly articles dedicated to forwarding the discipline of criminal justice. We have attempted to include only those articles that are best suited to providing readers with a solid foundation from which to inquire and explore various criminal justice topics. Similar to our previous anthology, Criminal Justice and Beyond: An International Perspective, the aim is to focus on the criminal justice system through a lens containing both breadth and depth. Ultimately, we have attempted to capture the current state to criminal justice, within a broad context, by incorporating those articles that are the best suited to represent the salient issues experienced in many components of the discipline. We hope this anthology serves readers as resources from which specific knowledge may be obtained as well as a tool that provides clear and focused guidance for further, more specialized inquiry pertaining to the rich array of topics contained in the discipline of criminal justice.
