This compendium of 28 papers, presented at a national seminar, held at the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies, K. S. Saket College, Ayodhya, attempts to address the key issues concerning cross-border terrorism, with special reference to India. Focusing on Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, it discusses at length the cross-border terrorism in Kashmir and counter-terrorism strategies, the issue of India’ security, and India’s strategic response.
Analyzing the role of women in jihadi terrorism, it takes a close look at different terrorist networks operating India, including Indian Mujahiddin, ISIS, Al Qaeda and Lashkar-i-Tayyiba. The role of armed forces in flood operation in Kashmir in 2014 and its impact on militancy has also been examined.
