The study of dairy farming has been virtually ignored by our researchers and the material generated on this aspect in both insufficient and insignificant. With the introduction of White Revolution in our countary, the studies concerned with dairy farming have gained momentum. But no geographical research work has been conducted on dairy development in India. So in order to Fulfill this gap the present book will be of immense importance to geographers, research scholars, policy makers, animal husbandry departments and government agencies.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Harmeet Singh
Dr. Harmeet Singh, Presently working at Kashmir University has got hisM.A., B.Ed., M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from Kashmir University. He got training in Digital Cartography and Geographical Information System (GiS) from Survey of India, Hyderabad. He has published several papers in Journals and books. His major fields of interest are economic geography, quantitative geography. Geographical Information System (GIS) and Digital Cartography. He has a teaching experience of more than eight years in the Department of Geography and Regional Development in Kashmir University.
