ABOUT THE AUTHOR Fakir Ram

Fakir Ram completed his Masters' degree in Sociology from Agra University. He started his career in UP Police and served for over two decades. He also took a PG Diploma in Human Rights. A staunch human rights activist at core, after retirement he has been actively engaged with organisations, especially interested in monitoring Human Rights issues. He has participated in many national seminars/conferences. He frequently writes on different socio-political issues in various dailies and magazines.
