This illustrated book offers a whimsical tour of Delhi through the eyes of artist Supriya Sahai. With its clean black-and-white line drawings, reminiscent of the style of the great Desmond Doig, the book takes you on a tour of Delhi that is historical as well as geographical. The author traces the different dynasties that built this great capital city and brings alive the monuments erected by them in amazing detail. Alongside are quirky sketches of everyday life – crowds, shops, people and animals – all typifying the chaos that gives Delhi its character.

Delhi on the Road is the perfect companion for someone who wishes to explore the city as a tourist, or simply an enjoyable browsing experience for those who love the city, warts and all.
