The theological reflections of the present author has had been always dialogical. He had been constantly in dialogue with Hinduism, specially with Advaita Vedanta. It is the contention of the book that dialogical opportunities in India are numerous and enriching. The fifteen papers presented here bear witness to this fact. The first part of the book contains four chapters and they were actually written at Hartford Seminary, USA, where the author was a visiting professor for the Fall Semester 2003. He was continuing his dialogue at Hartford. The second part of the book consists of eleven chapters and they represent the author’s some of the recent essays on dialogical theology. It provides some samples of interfaith theology as well as Dalit and Tribal theology. We also get a summary of the author’s own theological thinking thus far. An evaluation of Dominus lesus is provided. Violence against Christians in India is interpreted as an after effect of Christian violence against the gospel. Also presented is a forgotten past of Indian Christianity as well as a tribute to Swami Lokeswarananda and Brahmabandav Upadhyaya. The first part of the book has discussed religious tentions and dialogical opportunities in India; and also the interconnections between play and religion. There are studies provided on Leo Tolstoy’s interpretation of the Sermon on the Mount and its inspiration to Mahatma Gandhi and on Paul F. Knitter’s latest interpretation of diverse schools of theology of religions, as well. The dialogue continues.
