The present volume “Digital Information Resources and Networks on India-Essays in Honour of Professor Jagindar Singh Ramdev on his 75th Birthday” is a collection of twenty six research papers and a number of tributes contributed by several friends, professionals and well wishers of Professor Jagindar Singh Ramdev who is a well known Librarian, teacher, renowned author, researcher and philanthropist among the library professionals and Library Science teachers in India and United States. Professor Ramdev is a pioneer in establishing the SATKAL (Satinder Kaur Ramdev Memorial Trust for the Advancement of Librarianship) Trust for encouraging and promoting librarians in India through his kind efforts and generous donations. The Trust promotes research and librarianship by awarding scholarships/fellowships/stipends and awards to deserving students and in-service library professionals for their accomplishments.
