ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rajendra Yadav

The author has obtained his Masterâ€™s Degree in Ancient Indian History and Culture from University of Lucknow in 1992 and Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology from Archaeological Survey of India, New Delhi in 1996. After completing his Diploma, joined a project for â€œPreparation of Inventory of Centrally Protected Monumentsâ€ of Archaeological Survey of India and published inventories of Srinagar, Chandigarh and Delhi Circles while inventories of Vadodara and Jaipur Circles are in press. Author has joined ASI in 1999 as an Assistant Archaeologist and served at Delhi and Rajasthan. During his career he has actively participated in several excavations like Lalkot (U.T. Delhi), Dholavir (Gujarat), Paithan (Maharashtra), Raja Nal-ka-Tila, Bhita, Sankisa (U.P.), Dhalewan (Punjab) and Ojiyana (Rajasthan), etc. He has explored many areas of Rajasthan and reported several Prehistoric and Historical sites in districts of Jaisalmer, Baran & Bikaner. He has documented thousands of sculptures and many temples through out the state of Rajasthan. He has credited to published several articles and papers in different journals on art and architecture. He is presently working as Exploration and Excavation Officer in the Department of Archaeology and Museums, Govt. of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
