The book “Economic Reforms and India’s Foreign Trade” covers the whole of new economic policies including fiscal policies, monetary policies, industrial policies, policies related to foreign direct investment and trade policies.

The object of the book is to do the critical evaluation of the impact of these economic reforms on India’s export and import sector. To assess the impact of reforms on the performance of trade, a comparative study of growth rate and stability of export and import during the reform and pre-reform period has been done. The book also tries to explore the factors that have contributed to such performance of India’s foreign trade.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Zafar Ahmad Sultan

Dr. Zafar Ahmad Sultan is Permanent Faculty of P.G. Dept. of Economics of L.S. College, Muzaffarpur, B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. He has also been visiting faculty at Business and Management Colleges at Muzaffarpur. At present, he is working as Asst. Professor of Economics in the College of Business Administration, Al Kharj, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He teaches economics and Business Statistics at graduate and postgraduate level. In addition he has attended various seminars and conferences in Economics, and has number of publications to his credit. He obtained his M.A. Degree from A.M.U., Aligarh, M.Phil. Degree from J.N.U., New Delhi, and Ph.D. from B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur.
