Education for All

Education for all is relatively a new concept. This is our academics’ dream for universalizing education in this country, which is enthusiastically, supported by the Government also. As per scholars’ view, education is the foundation, on the basis of which the future of a country is largely determined. The direction of a country is directed according to the education, people receive there. Elementary education is the basic foundation of education on which the future of a student largely depends. In providing elementary education. Special emphasis should be placed on the methods of teaching and other measures, particularly required for first generation learners and for reducing the number of dropouts. Needless to say that education has a crucial contribution to make towards promoting national integration, understanding and a sense of togetherness and harmony. There is, therefore, great need for a integrated and value-oriented education with a national perspective. Eradication of adult illiteracy and the development of a programme of continuing education is a major thrust area in the annual plans. The task of covering all the illiterates in the age group of 15-35 years, is a formidable programme, also to be linked effectively with various development programmes. The expansion and effectiveness of adult education provides a further impetus to this growth. No doubt, there are books on various aspects of education in the market, but there is a dearth for comprehensive books on education for all, as a movement. Hence, this work, for benefits of scholars, students and volunteers in the field of education. Hopefully, this humble effort would suffice the need for a good book on the subject.
