From the preface: Thus we have striven hard to bring out this Eighth Edition of the text book on Economic Entomology with a view to meet the long-felt need of the students, teachers, research workers and extension personnel in the country. The elements of harmful insects and those of beneficial ones from the tenets of this book and it goes forward in covering the management of these through time tested principles, concepts and methods leading to novel aspects so that a beginner in entomology will get to know not only the essential basics but also the currently valid aspects of economic entomology so that one can get at least into the topical and introductory in any aspect.
