This book contains papers presented in an International Conference Jointly organised by the Council for Social Development and All India Women’s Conference, New Delhi on September 2-3, 2013. Besides, some papers were especially commissioned for this volume. The contributors are internationally known experts who have done extensive research and advocacy in the field of empowerment of women. The book basically addresses the challenges and pathways for empowerment of rural women in developing countries.
