Empowerment of Women

S. Baluchamy (b. 1955), Reader in Extension, Gandhigram Rural institute , (Deemed University) (GRI) , Gandhigram, Tamil Nadu, India, took his M.A. Degree in Sociology from Madural Kamaraj University and his Ph.d. degree from GRI. He has been teaching Extension Education, Rural Development, Rural sociology and Self-Help Group Management at M.A. M.Phil, levels for the last 13 years. He has participated and presented papers in various ntional and state level seminars and workshops. He has published a good number of research articles in reputed journals. He has organized a serried of training programmes for the functionaries of local bodies, NGOs and government departments. He has also organized a number of Extension programmes
