Prachi Kanhai obtained a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Delhi, a professional diploma in Social Psychiatry from the University of Dublin (Ireland) and a diploma in Counselling from the School of Psychology and Applied Sciences, Halifax, Canada. She has Sciences, Halifax, Canada. She has been associated with a reputed NGO working in the field of child development and social nutrition and is also on the consultants panel of three state-run child specialist institutions. She has published articles and learned papers in various national and international journals and has also co-authored a book in her field : Remedial Action for School Drop-Outs.
