ABOUT THE AUTHOR L.P. Agarwal

L.P. Agarwal is Head of Educational Research in a State-supported institute in Karnataka. He has a Master’s degree in Education and a doctorate in the same, with specialization in curriculum development for environmental awareness. He has also taught in colleges in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh. He has written over a dozen papers for seminars and conferences and was acclaimed for his publication Forgotten Childhood: The Dilemma of Drop-Outs (1989).

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Nibedita Dash

Nibedita Dash obtained her bachelor’s degree in Education from the Samanta Chandra Sekhar Autonomous College, Puri and M.A., M.Phil degrees from the Kurikshetra University, Kurukshetra. Presently, she is doing research in the field of Education and also writing a co-author in the book Educational Measurement, Statistics and Guidance Services.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Purabi Jain

Purabi Jain completed her post graduation and doctorate studies from the University of Calcutta and subsequently obtained a further qualification in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. Her resultant dissertation, ‘Curriculum Reform for Rural Schools in Developing Countries : Some Socio-economic and Universal Parameters’ was awarded an exceptional merit citation. She taught for over twelve years in universities of South-East Asia, India and Africa before joining as Principal Adviser, Education and Economics, Centre for Research in Education and Social Technology (CREST), a Bombay-based research organization for South Asian educational perspectives.
