ABOUT THE AUTHOR Probir Kanti Biswas

Probir Kanti Biswas (b. 1954) has a Master's degree in Plant Biolog from the University of Bombay. He acquired a doctorate in Advanced Plant Biosynthesis from the School of Sciences in Agriculture from the University of Rotterdam. He has been associated with the frontline research in biotechnology in the early Nineties for the implementation of the Yellow Revlution in oilseeds. He is currnely Senior Scientist with a premier national research institute devoted to arid zone agricultrual research.
