The book compiles the information of status of Non-Conventional Energy Sources (NCES) such as soils, wind, biogas, etc in the country in general and Madhya Pradesh State in particular. The information of a suitable design of biogas plant, i.e. fixed RCC for black soil conditions is presented well. The scope of supplimentry NCES in agricultural is elaborated systematically. The safety from environmental problems can be achieved by using NCES mainly. The emphasis is given on a biogas plant, use of gas produced as fuel and slurry as fertilizer. The various parameters linked with development of new design and the use of plant safety is also discussed.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR S.S. Tomar
Dr. Sadachari Singh Tomar is Senior Scientistk at Central Institute of Agriculture Engineering, Bhopal (presently on deputation to M.P. Council of Science& Technology as Project Director/Sr. Resources Scientist in New Renewable sources of Energy and Remote Sensingh). He is the author of 17 books/bulletins, 160 papers (published in national and international journals and has supervised many Ph.d. & M. Tech. students. He did his graduatin in Science from satns (M.P.) and Engineering from Jabalpur..Tech and Ph.D. (Engineering) from Regional Engineering College, MACT, Bhopal, completed “Engineering Training Course†from IRR Philippinees. He belongs to a farmer’s family of village durhe in satna distict (M.P.). He is the recipient of the president of India 18991& 1994, Jawahar Lal Nehru and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Awards. He was awarded by a commendation medal by ISAE and has received 50 other awards/regonitions. He is a member of Indian Society of Agriculture, engineering ISAE. He is presently Chairman of ISAE, Bhopal chapter, and Honorary Secretary of the E., Medhya Pradesh State Centre. Dr. Tomar worked as Research Fellow in C.S.W.C.R.T. & I (icar) Agra as Training Assistant CFMTEL, Burdwan, as Scientist at CIAE (ICAR), as Joint Director Agriculture (Sr. Biogas Specialist) in the government of M.P. As Convention of Agriculture Engineers by ISAE. The ststus of misutilisation of funds in the installations of NCES and need of eradication of corruption is the prime discussion in the present book to make the NRSE programme a success.
