In this context some of the Asian governments are taking steps to resolve the security problem by adopting various measures. Since energy resources are essential for economic growth of countries, it becomes imperative on the part of these countries to ensure its sufficient supply and work for its conservation both unilaterally and multilaterally. Given these facts, the proposed book is aimed at projecting the present energy scenario in Asia and delves into some challenges involved in securing future supplies. For a comprehensive reading, the book is divided into two sections. The first section highlights numerous issues and challenges of energy security in Asia and the second section comprehensively discusses the country scenario.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sukhvinder Kaur Multani

Sukhvinder Kaur Multani holds an M.Phil in Political Science from Central University, Hyderabad. She is currently working as Consulting Editor at Icfai Business School Research Centre, Bangalore. Prior to joining Icfai, she worked for Academic Wing of Icfai as Faculty Member, where she was involved in designing syllabus and courseware for graduate, postgraduate and law courses, offered by the institution. She has several years of teaching and research experience to her credit. Her areas of interest include foreign policy studies, international relations, defense and strategic studies, women studies and media.
