ABOUT THE AUTHOR Thomas Cleary

Thomas Cleary recieved his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University in East Asian languages. He has published English translations of numerous Buddhist texts, including The Blue Cliff Record, The Book of Serenity, and The Flower Ornament Scripture.
