ABOUT THE AUTHOR P. Sasi Bhushana Rao
Dr. Peddamalla sasi Bhushana Rao, M.Sc., Ph.D., F.A.E.B., F.En.R.A., born (1946) in West Bengal, educated in Andhra Pradesh, and obtained doctorate degree from Annamalai university in 1981. After 36 years of continuous service Dr. Rao retired from Orissa Government Education Service as Sr. Reader and head, P.G. department of Life sciences, S.K.C.G. Autonomous College, Paralakhemundi, Gajapati, Orissa. he is Fellow of Academy of Environmental Biology, fellow of Academy of Environmental Biology, fellow of Environment research Academy and former Vice-president of Indian association of Aquatic Biologists. He is also life member of Orissa Environment Society. He edited books on tribals and Forest Ecosystem, Environment management and Audit, and emerging dimensions in Higher education. He is Author of several research papers and popular articles published in journals and proceedings of international repute. He chaired/delivered keynote/sessional lectures and participated in more than 25 national and international seminars/symposia all over the country. He was also Coordinator IGNOU Study centre. He was Chairman and member of Boards of studies in Life sciences and Zoology. Dr. Rao has vast eyepiece of intimately interacting with ecosystem people of Koraput and Gajapati districts of Orissa and NGOs. He has been a resource person to NGOs and academic staff colleges of Universities. He is actively associated with conservation of Mahwendragiri range of hills in Eastern Ghats. Dr. P.S.B. Rao was felicitated by local M.P. and M.L.A. for his contributors to the overalldevelopment of the college, centenary function, and social service in the region and awareness campaigns on Environment and AIDS. Dr. P. Sasi Bhushana rao presently stays at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh after retirement from Government service.
