The book Environmental Development focuses on the development of the various sciences with particular focus on environmental science. Environmental science came alive as a substantive, active field of scientific investigation in the recent years. This was driven by the need for a large multi disciplined team to analyse complex environmental problems, the arrival of substantive environmental laws requiring specific environmental protocols of investigation and growing public awareness of a need for action in addressing environmental problems.
This book takes a look at the beginnings of this science, chronicling the reasons which propelled its existence and how the developments that have taken place over the years have contributed to the body of knowledge that is environmental science. It is hoped that the book serves well for all those who are interested in knowing more about this science.
