The material brought together in this volume comprise papers, excerpts, reviews, abstracts and articles o eminent European and American Scholars on the little researched areas of environment and resource economics. The papers are original research contributions, but they are less developed in a mathematical or empirical sense than would be expected. The work aims to reach an audience wider than academia; others, such as researchers and policy makers in the public sector, professional staff in research environmental consultants will all benefit from an awareness of these crucial issues which, if not considered now will become the problems of future.
