Environmental pollution control is a major concern and challenge for twenty first century people. A comprehensive manual on environmental analytical chemistry to cater to the needs of environmental science students and researchers is a long felt need. In this manual on Environmental Monitoring and Analysis, an attempt has been made to describe various methods of monitoring and analysis of air, noise and water. Details on the principles, material requireds, procedure and calculations for each method of analysis have been provided. The calculation part is explained in detail, step by step for easy assimilation of the students. The most important feature of this manual is Analytical Quality Control, Measurement of Uncertainty and Instrumental Methods for Environmental Analysis. The main objective of this publication has been to make available the information in a single manual which was otherwise unconventionally scattered in literature beyond the reach of large number of readers specifically students and research scholars. It will also provide a wide perspective in the quality concept of air, noise and water analysis to the scientists and engineers, executives and consultants, and all those who are engaged in environmental pollution control fields.
