The present books is an outcome of the author’s writings –research and seminar papers, contributors made in various looks, articles publishers in a number of national and international journals, especially in the areas of social development, human rights and social justice which in contemporary, professional social work education are being imparted in more than 150 schools. Colleges/university departments/faculties of social work in India from an integral and important part. As a social work educator/researcher of more than four decades, Dr. Singh has been writings on a wide variety of subjects, mainly related to social development, human development, human rights and social justice. During his tenure of Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi which has the unique distinction of enjoying the status of faculty of Social Work in all the universities of the state of Uttar Pradesh, the idea of gathering together all his writings related to human and social development, human rights and social justice and getting them published in the form of a book came to his mind, and he actively started his work in this area, despite his business with administrative responsibilities and academic engagements relating to the delivery of mangural as well as validectory addresses and the chairing of sessions in seminars, conferences, etc. organized in different parts of India and abroad.
