ABOUT THE AUTHOR Padmalochan Hazarika

Padmalochan Hazarika is a Professor in the department of Commerce, Gauhati University. A post graduate in Mathematics, Statistics and economics which he obtained from the university of Gauhati. He obtained M.Phil. Degree in Mathematics from H.P. University, Shimla, and Ph.D. Degree in Economics from Gauhati University. He was given Post Doctoral research Award by the degree in economics from Gauhati University. He was given Post Doctoral research Award by the UGC leading to successful completion of his Post Doctoral research on the topic Implications of Additional Investment Over Domestic Savings on Price level and output growth in the Context of Planning in India –An Econometric Analysis. Dr. Hazarika has 32 research papers till date to his credit which have been published in various edited volumes and national journals. He has written 9 text books on Mathematics and Statistics. Besides he has coauthored 5 other books on Mathematics and economics. He has also co=-authored a research-based book entitled developmental Disparities in Assam –A Quantitative Insight published by Akansha Publishing House new Delhi. The author has produced three Ph.Ds.
