ABOUT THE AUTHOR P.P. Chaturvedi
P.P. Chaturvedi passed B.Sc. from Agra University and ANSI in Sugar Technology from National Sugar Institute, Kanpur in 1965. He has worked in various reputed Sugar Mills handling almost every type of system starting from the old batch type to the most modern ones like film type sulphur burner falling film evaporator, semi Kestner evaporator with various combinations, juice and milk of lime proportion control system, auto-feed control batch type pans, continuous pan, continuous centrifugal machines, auto and semi auto centrifugal machine, various types of sugar driers and sugar graders with latest modifications, etc. He has designed various operation systems in sugar member of a team that developed operational control of a film type sulphur burner. By developing small sulphur burner for laboratory clarification experiments he made clarification trials possible in the laboratories even before the start of crushing season. The author has had a wide experience in different capacities including being head of production department for 25 years. He has published more than 20 papers in various journals like STAI Annual Convention Proceedings, Indian Sugar Cooperative, Bharitiya sugar, Proceedings of various technical seminars etc. He also has to his credit a number of seminars organized by him. He has been a member of Technical Sub-Committee of Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) and is a member of R&D Committee of STAI. He is founder chairman, of Sugar Industries Professionals’ Forum. His motto is “learning while working, working while learning.â€
