ABOUT THE AUTHOR Nilambar Mukherjee

Nilambar Mukherjee has been a development journalist with the United Nations for over fifteen years. A post-graduate in Sociology from the jawaharlal Nehru University, he taught in colleges for a decade before proceeding on an assignment with a Geneva-based human rights organization. He has travelled widely in Asia, Africa and Europe during the course of his work. He has wirtten over a dozen papers on varius aspects of sociology for reputed journals.
