This text in the series of books entitled “Experiments in Physics” brings within its purview the subject of experimental nuclear physics. It takes into its consideration the way nuclear physics has charted its course in its practice, bringing under one head the conventional as well as the most recent experiments conducted within the field.
Designed for both undergraduate as well as post-graduate students in the subject, it takes into account the tools, techniques and trends necessary for experiments in nuclear physics, particularly in nuclear power and nuclear weapons, as well as less common applications, such as in the medical sector (nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging), in materials engineering (ion implantation) or archaeology (radiocarbon dating). It is hoped that the comprehensive and insightful content of the texts serve particularly well for the readers.
