ABOUT THE AUTHOR Indu Swami

Dr. Indu Swami, born and brought up at Diphu in Karbi Anglong district of Assam, has obtained her Ph.D. in English from University of Bikaner, India. She has also to her credit CTE and DCE from IGNOU, New Delhi. She has contributed over 15 peer reviewed research papers in reputed international/ national Journals, 5 book chapters and more than 25 popular articles in national periodicals. Dr. Swami has also authored a book entitled The Woman Question in the Selected Novels of Nayantara Sahgal, Manju Kapur and Arundhati Roy. She has participated in more than 10 international conferences and presented research papers. Her area of interest includes Feminist Literature, Indian Writting in English. Modern Fiction, and Criticism etc. She is an active member of various academic bodies/professional societies for promotion of Contemporary Literature in English.
