This monograph is an anthology of twenty articles on vedic expositions, interpretations and speculations. The Veda is not only a religious text, but also a literature of the most ancient period, a primordial source of human knowledge, "Knowledge par excellence". Scholars have undertaken a tedious task of exercising their capabilities in the way of extracting the very primitive speculations and conceptions made in the Veda. The vedic deities are also the significant limbs of the vedic literature. Indeed, different branches of vedic studies evolve with the revolution around these age-old divinities which are really manifested in our natural phenomena. This book includes an article on the vedic deity Aditi, the imperisable one. Though ‘varieties of discourse on wide range of subjects of the vedic literature have been carried out here, still many more are left to be taken up in future. However, the present work embraces most of the thrust areas in which the general readers find their interest.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Bidyut Lata Ray

Bidyut Lata Ray (Ph.D) is a noted Sanskrit and scholars who has been researching on Sanskrit and teaching, the subject for over three decades. She has contributed a number of research papers and articles on Jagannatha cult, Vedic and Puranic studies to reputed journals, periodicals and felicitation volumes and published monographs on the subject. She has been conferred with an honorary appointment to the Professional Women’s Advisory Board and to Research Board of Advisors of the American Biographical Institute, Inc., Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.
