The book has tried to establish an interface among agriculture, rural non-farm activities and the financial services. Some impirical studies have been made in this book that elaborates the activities which empowers the ruralities with the help of credit extended by rural financial institutions. It is proved in the text that the prohibitive higher logistic service cost of large business houses is the real impediment and eventually the micro rural enterprises emerged as the most appropriate mode of production. The growth of some highly labour intensive and rural industries and rural non-farm economy has created new economic avenues contributing to the foundation for the growth of integrated rural economy is the outcome of this study.
