Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura, The Seven Sisters, as they are called, constitute the North-East, the chief tribal region of India. From flora and fauna to food, dance, language and festivals-each of these states boasts of its distinct tradition and folklore. Yet, there is an underlying cultural closeness which binds them. This bunch of stories gives a glimpse of some of the beliefs and legends of the land which are prevalent even today.
