From the Ganges to the Mediterranean is the result of a dialogue between a Spanish thinker, Rafael Argullol, and the Indian thinker Vidya Nivas Mishra. The mediator was Oscar Pujol Riembau, a known Sanskritist. The theme of this book centers around five questions previously decided which examine in depth nuclear concepts that configure the collective imagination of all cultures: man and the universe, time and history, the sacred and its relation with the secular. It points also to the possibility of a humanity that is not narrowly anthropocentric, but biocentric, directed via life in totality, a transcultural humanism that integrates the plurality of values within a harmonious and diverse whole. And finally there is discussion about the possibility of establishing a real dialogue between cultures that is beyond a mere exchange of formalities.
