ABOUT THE AUTHOR A.R. Dabolkar

Arvind R.Dabolkar (b. 1937) obtained his Master’s degree in Agriculture, with specialization in Horticulture from Agra University, in 1958. In 1963, he obtained M.Sc. (Ag.) degree in Agricultural Botany form Vikram University. From university of Indore, he achieved his Ph.D. in 1979. From 1963 to 1997, he was engaged in sorghum breeding work in Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya. He worked in various capacities starting from research Assistant to professor (Plant Breeding)/ Senior Scientist. He taught Advanced Genetics, Quantitative Genetics and Plant Breeding to Postgraduate students for over 20 years. He guided several students for their M.Sc. (Ag.) thesis work. He is author of Elements of Biometrical Genetics, published by Concept Publishing Company, new Delhi, in 1992. The second revised and enlarged edition of this book was brought out in 1999.
