Geography of Asia

Asia, the largest of the continents, occupies about 30 per cent of the earth's land area. Asia is also the most populous continent, holding about 60 per cent of the world's population. Yet some two-thirds of the continent is either too dry or too cold to support anything but a sparse population. Diversity in physical features and in the economic, political and cultural ways of the people is an outstanding feature of this huge continent.
