ABOUT THE AUTHOR Karuna Bohini

Karuna B holds a master's degree in business administration from Osmania University, Hyderabad and is a member of the Insurance Institute of India. She has over 8 years of research and consulting experience in the fields of finance and IT. She has put in over 5 years of service at ICFAI, mostly in the areas of financial services. She also had a 3-year stint as a Business Analyst and Functional Consultant at Cordys India Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad. At present, she is working as a Consulting Editor at ICFAI Books. Her areas of interest are banking, insurance and risk management. As a part of the academic and research teams of ICFAI, she has conducted training sessions and coordinated workshops in the areas related to merchant banking, banking and insurance. She has contributed several articles in these areas towards the various finance publications of ICFAI and international journals like The Treasurer. She was also a member of the editorial team for the Treasury Management, a monthly magazine from ICFAI University Press and contributed articles and case studies in the areas of risk management, asset-liability management and cash management.
