ABOUT THE AUTHOR Suresh Chand

Dr. Suresh Chand was born on July 1, 1955 in Agra, the city well known for the Tajmahal and its great culture heritage.  He was endowed with literary interests in legacy by his family tradition and the mentors.  He is deeply inclined to the literature and journalism, and keeps a close watch on political developments.  Dr. Chand received his primary education in Agra and went on to Post-graduate in Commerce, Political Science and History respectively.  He has also studied for P.G. Diploma in Marketing & Sales Management and, in Book Publishing.  His love for literature saw him earning the honour of Ph.D. from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth (Varanasi) in the year 2002.  Dr. Suresh Chand has worked in various capacities with the Union Government of India and, the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh.  He was Assistant Director with the Indian Council of Historical Research (New Delhi).  Subsequently, he served as the Business Manager with Indian Council for Agricultural Research (New Delhi) during 1991 to 1993.  The same year, he joined Department of Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India in the capacity of Special Officer.  He, then, served as the Registrar with Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth (Varanasi) and Bundelkhand University (Jhansi).  Currently, he is serving with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India as the Special Officer in the Dept. of Higher Education, New Delhi.  Dr. Suresh Chand has written and published a number of papers and articles on several issues in the Journals of national and international repute.  He has been delegate to many international conferences and programs presented the papers, in India and abroad, representing the government.  Dr. Suresh Chand has authored a book on Atal Behari Vajpayee’s Role in Indian Politics.
