Groundwater Flow and Mass Transport Modeling

Significant advances have been made in the use of groundwater flow and transport models in the field of water resources engineering, over the last about three decades. Prepared for a national level training programme organized at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India, and sponsored by the Ministry of S&T, Govt. of India — this book comprising 35 contributed papers, is a compilation of state of art on groundwater research and provides a better understanding of the upcoming techniques and applications of groundwater modeling. The papers contributed by distinguished scientists from different national research institutions of the country also provide an overview of the current status of groundwater pollution in India and include case studies on contamination and recharge of groundwater.
