ABOUT THE AUTHOR S.K. Chanda

Dr. S.K. Chanda presently working as Scientist 'D' in the Zoological Survey of India is engaged in Amphibian research work for nearly three decades. Dr. Chanda was awarded the Ph.D. Degree of the Kalyani University for his outstanding and meritorious contribution on Indian amphibians with special reference to north-eastern India. He is author of more than fifty research papers on various aspects of amphibians besides being author of Amphibian fauna of north-eastern India. Cuurenlty he is heading the Herpetology division of Zoological Survey of India and is engaged in research in taxonomy and Zoogeography of Indian amphibians. Dr. Chanda is an active member of IVCn of Amphibian and Reptiles of the Indian subcontinent.
