A complete handbook of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants found in North east region of India is a Herculean task yet we attempted the same for the noble purpose that the compilation would arouse curiosity among the readers to the richness of the biodiversity around him. The book is also intended to give the first hand basic knowledge of the species mentioned. The pious object of this book is to make available the information and knowledge of the MAP found in the NER, which is done with the expectation that local curiosity will be aroused for conservation, cultivation and sustainable management of these species. We forbid our readers to intake any dose of medicine prepared from the knowledge of this book without the consultation of a recognized physician or a practitioner of Indian system of Medicine (ISM).
