ABOUT THE AUTHOR Upendra Prasad Singh

Dr. Upendra Prasad Singh (b. 1943) is a brilliant product of the University of Bihar, Muzaffarpur. Dr. Singh having throughout a first class career is a recipient of gold medal in M.A. (Economics). Dr. Singh started his teaching career in 1967 and since then he is teaching Post-graduate students of Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya. Planning and Growth are the areas of his specialization. Dr. Singh’s research interests center around agricultural development, planning and poverty alleviation; A member of several academic organizations, Dr. Singh has contributed several research papers to the Learned Journals and has successfully supervised a number of students for their Ph.D. degree. Dr. Singh is presently Reader and Head of the Post-Graduate Deptt. Of Economics, Gaya College, Gaya (Bihar) and is having the credit of organizing, Post-graduate teaching in his subject.
