ABOUT THE AUTHOR Th. Robert Tiba

(19.6.1969-8.2.2010) earned his M.A. (History) and M.Phil. from NEHU, Shillong. He was awarded Ph.D. in History by Assam University, Silchar. He started his career as Lecturer in History at Assam University, Silchar in 1995 and was Professor in the Department of History, Assam University Diphu Campus, Diphu (Assam) till his untimely death on 8.2.2010.
