History of Medieval kerala

This book consists of nineteen articles by Mr. V.K.R. Menon written between 1928 and 1943. They include scholarly pieces as well as brief introductions, notes, reviews and comments on a variety of themes such as old Malayam, art, architecture, music they and paintings, epigraphically transcripts, granthavi-s and Ayurvedic treatment against snake poison. The principal merit of the articles is their thematic relationship to medieval and early modern history an culture. Though written long ago, the undated nature of their themes makes them relevant to relatively longer periods. Articles dealing with specialized and technical subjects like architecture, music theory and health wisdom contribute to the history of indigenous knowledge system.
