Human Rights’ is not a new coinage—though it has gained popularity in recent decades. Manu says "Just as the mother Earth gives equal support to all the living beings so also a King should give equal treatment to all the citizens in the same manner as a mother towards her children". Though all the modern nation-states has made provisions for protection of basic human rights in their constitutions, many international or world organisations have been constantly monitoring the state of human rights the world over. Human rights are being violated by vested interests, and sometimes even by the state machinery itself. This work, in two volumes gives a vivid account of human rights varied canvas.
