ABOUT THE AUTHOR Mohd. Yousuf Bhat

Born in 1972, Mohd. Yousuf Bhat post-graduated in Human Rights in 1999 and was awarded with Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Science in the year 2003 from the Department of Political Science, AMU, Aligarh. He belongs to the breed of young scholars who have committed themselves for the noble cause of humanity. To his credit, he has many articles published in various journals of national and international repute. He is also the author of a book entitled ‘Environment and Human Rights’. In recent past, he participated in south Asian Teaching Session on International Humanitarian Law and Refugee Law organized by the UNHCR and ICRC. In recognition of his contribution in the field of human rights, he has been conferred with Global Fellowship Award by the Institute of Human Rights, New York, USA.
