Realizing that the playing field is not level before opening up for competition, the provisions for Special and Differential Treatment to developing countries are inherent in the Uruguay Round (UR) Agreements of the WTO. This book focuses on examining the framework of the legal clauses of the WTO pertaining to the developing economies, with special reference to the Doha Development Agenda and its implication.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR M.G. Deepika
Deepika M G holds a PhD in Economics from the Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore through the University of Bangalore. She has published articles relating to international trade, WTO, export competitiveness, EXIM Policy and urban planning in journals, edited volumes and newspapers, and participated in seminars and conferences relating to international trade and WTO. She has also worked as a Research Associate at the Centre for Management in Agriculture at IIM Ahmedabad. She is currently working as Faculty in Economics at the ICFAI Business School, Ahmedabad.
