The book on M.N. Roy and Indian Radicalism deals with the life of M.N. Roy. Very few books have allotted M.N. Roy, the place he occupies in Indian Political thought. In the first phase of his life Roy started his career as a radical young boy. In the courts of his sprang he traveled widely, lauding himself in Moscow where he put forwards in view on communism, which were in sharp contrasts with the view expressed by Lenin. Therefore, in 1929 he landed in India and was instrumental in the formation of the Governor party of India. In the second phase of his life spans the years till 1940. He was the moving spirit behind the communist movement which sprung up in the country. From 1944-1945 began the last phase of his life when he talked of the 19th century individualism. What I have tried to show is that the second of his life is the most interesting and the lasting contribution of M.N. Roy to Indian Political thought.
