This book presents the women’s contribution to agroeconomic activities: invisible or visible. It presents some empirical evidence of recent changes in gender roles in agroeconomic activities and impact of women’s participation on their empowerment and the economic conditions of the household. Several papers of the different learned contributors present the analysis of the participation of women in agriculture, fishery, forestry and other household activities and several sectors.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Babita Agrawal
Dr. Babita Agrawal is presently Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Economics, Arya Kanya Post-Graduate College., Hapur. She holds Ph.D. in Economics from Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut and has about 20 years of teaching experience of undergraduate / post-graduate classes. She is a member of the managing committee of Smt. Brahma Devi Saraswati Balika Vidya Mandi, Hapur and joint editor of Economic Journal published by Uttar Pradesh- Uttranchal Economic Association, Varanasi. She received the Best Teacher Award for the year 2004 from Bharat Vikas Parishad Hapur.
