ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sudeshna Purkayastha

Sudeshna Purkayastha did her Ph.D. from Jadavpur University in 1996. She teaches History in Rabindra Sadan Girls' College at Karimaganj, Assam. She has contributed papers in national academic journals. At present she is interested in identity politics and contemporary theories of subjectivity and power.
